Crème, in conjunction with DHL, the UK’s leading domestic and international express carrier, is searching for the ultimate PA to win this prestigious title. We’re looking for someone who stands out from the crowd in the course of filling their day-to-day role. Whether you’re working on a permanent or temporary basis for a big City firm or a small company in the country, as long as you’re a PA or secretary who has been working for the same company for a minimum of three months, the title could be yours!

Being a PA is a complex and demanding role. Twenty-first century secretaries conduct a wide range of tasks from putting together presentations and organising diaries to arranging travel and managing the office. We want to hear about your role and how you fulfil it.

Last year, Vanessa Price won the accolade of The Times Crème/DHL PA of the Year. As PA to the directors of Gwent NHS Healthcare Trust, Vanessa beat stiff competition to shine as an exceptional winner in the eyes of the judges. Her highly efficient and professional manner means that Vanessa is adaptable to challenging situations and able juggle a variety of difficult tasks. Commenting on her award, Vanessa said: “I thoroughly enjoy my role at Gwent NHS Healthcare Trust – it feels fantastic to have won the industry’s top award and to gain recognition for my commitment to the job.”

This year’s judging panel is looking for someone like Vanessa, who can demonstrate efficiency, initiative, reliability and commitment – plus that extra spark that all companies are looking for in a PA. Judges include last year’s winner, Vanessa Price, and Clare Edmondson, Human Resources Director, DHL Express UK and Ireland. You can either enter yourself or be entered by your employer.

The Times Crème / DHL PA of the Year 2005 will win a two week holiday to the cosmopolitan hub of Cape Town, South Africa, whilst three runners-up will receive a weekend in the vibrant city of Barcelona.
